(TRABZON) - A criminal complaint was filed by the Karadere Valley and Plateaus Protection Association against the officials of Altınordu Mining company, which operates within Limak Holding, on the grounds that mining activities were carried out in the Karadere Valley within the borders of Trabzon's Araklı district and Gümüşhane "before the EIA process was completed".
Şener Şengün, President of the Karadere Valley and Plateaus Protection Association, stated in his statement in front of the Araklı Palace of Justice regarding the criminal complaint that they filed a criminal complaint against the relevant companies and officials due to unauthorized destruction of natural habitats and irregular transactions.
"We defend and will continue to defend the rights and laws of plateaus, forests, birds, vegetation and wildlife."
