A commemoration program was organized at the martyrs' cemeteries in Trabzon, Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Ordu and Artvin on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
Governor Tahir Şahin visited the graves of July 15 martyrs Samet Uslu and Sedat Kaplan in Akçaabat and Yomra districts and met with the family of İlhan Dağdaş.
During the visits, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made for the martyrs. Additionally, a Mawlid was read for the martyrs at the İskenderpaşa Mosque.
In his statement, Governor Şahin said that they will always continue to stand tall against all formations that will attack the pure will of the nation.
