A panel titled "The Will is Ours, Victory is Ours" was held in Trabzon and Rize within the scope of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
The panel organized by Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) in Trabzon, Prof. Dr. It was held at Osman Turan Culture and Congress Center.
KTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. In his speech at the opening of the panel, Hamdullah Çuvalcı said that they commemorated all martyrs, especially the July 15 martyrs, with mercy and gratitude.
Stating that the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) attempted a coup against the unity of the state, the future of the nation and democracy on July 15, 2016, Çuvalcı stated that the Turkish nation prevented this attempt with the resistance shown in unity and solidarity.
Çuvalcı emphasized that the nation is struggling with all its might against the threats to the independence and future of the Republic of Türkiye, and noted that the national will cannot be destroyed by any force.
Retired Rear Admiral Prof. attended the panel as a speaker. Dr. Cihat Yaycı also stated that July 15 is an important symbol of the nation's defense of democracy.
Making evaluations about what happened on the night of July 15, Yaycı stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's leadership and the determination of the nation played an important role in the failure of the coup attempt.
In the program, Quran recitation was performed and a video on July 15 prepared by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications was shown.
The poem "30 Birds" written by Dursun Ali Erzincanlı for martyr Ömer Halisdemir was also played.
A panel with the same title was organized by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University in Rize within the scope of "15 July Democracy and National Unity Day" events.
Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yılmaz, in the program at the University's Congress and Culture Center, said that July 15 is a day of national resistance and victory of the Turkish nation to protect its democracy, national will, independence and future.
Stating that the nation came to the squares upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Yılmaz stated that all segments of society, including women, men, young and old, support democracy.
After the opening speech, university academician Prof. Dr. Ali Altıner, Assoc. Dr. Muhammet Yıldız, Dr. Faculty Members Abdulrahman Acer and Mehmet Ali Mert took part in the panel as speakers.
The economic, political and geopolitical effects of July 15 were discussed by the speakers.
The panel ended with a question and answer session following the presentations.
Following the events, saplings were planted in the university's beach recreation area in memory of the July 15 martyrs.
