The mother and her son, who lost their lives in a traffic accident in Adana by falling into an irrigation canal, were sent off to their final journey in their hometown, Kahramanmaraş.
The accident took place in Abdioğlu Cumhuriyet District of Adana's Yüreğir district. Agricultural worker Makbule Topal (28) lost control of the steering wheel and fell into the irrigation canal while driving the car that her husband Dursun Topal (35) had recently purchased. Makbule Topal and her 12-year-old son Mehmet Topal, who were in the car that fell into the irrigation canal, could not be saved despite all the interventions made in the hospital where they were taken. The injured Dursun Topal and his daughter Damla Topal were taken to the hospital by ambulance after the first aid at the scene and received treatment. It was learned that the father and his daughter, who are undergoing treatment, are in good health.
A funeral ceremony was held for the mother and her son who lost their lives in the accident in their hometown, Kahramanmaraş. Many citizens attended the funeral held at Karacasu Karşıyaka Andırınlılar 1 Cemetery in Dulkadiroğlu district.
