US President Donald Trump announced that they will make trade and investment agreements with various Gulf countries instead of the 20 percent toll fee he plans to collect from all ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
In his statement on social media, Trump said, "Right now, the Strait of Hormuz is open to all ships except Iran, and the reason for this is a lying, violent, malicious government (Iran), which puts them on the path to complete destruction." he said.
Stating that they will implement a complete blockade in Hormuz, but this blockade will only cover ships arriving or leaving Iranian ports or carrying any goods related to Iran, Trump said:
"After very fruitful discussions with countries in the Middle East, I have decided to replace the 20 percent US tax (on ships passing through Hormuz) with trade and investment agreements between various Gulf countries with the US. These investments will be huge, but also extraordinary for their future and for themselves."
Claiming that the USA was the winning side, Trump said, "The days when Iran killed thousands of people, including 52 thousand protesters, are over. Most importantly, Iran will never have nuclear weapons." he commented.

He used the following expressions:
