Defending against the opinion, Ulu said, "Unlike the indictment, I do not accept the allegations in the opinion that I have acted to humiliate women. As a woman living in Türkiye, it is not possible for me to commit this crime considering that I struggle in every field. I definitely did not commit such an action. I demand my acquittal. I have also performed positive privileged demonstrations for women in my demonstrations. I think that my discourses in question are definitely not intended to humiliate any segment of society or gender, and I think my discourses are unifying, not divisive. I think that the crime is unifying. "I have no intention of doing anything," he said.
In its decision, the court ruled that Tuba Ulu be sentenced to 5 months in prison for 'publicly humiliating a segment of the public'. The court decided to postpone the announcement of the verdict.
