TÜBİTAK Science High School, which was established within TÜBİTAK with the cooperation of the Ministries of National Education and the Ministries of Industry and Technology and brings together Türkiye's most talented young people in a science and research-oriented ecosystem, is waiting for its new students. The school's special exam will be held in 24 provinces on July 18.
TÜBİTAK Science High School contributes to the creation of the scientific human resources needed by the National Technology Move by allowing high school-age young people not only to receive theoretical education but also to grow up in a campus environment with Türkiye's most established research institutions.
TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. In his statement to the AA correspondent, Orhan Aydın stated that after the results of the central exam within the scope of the High School Transition System (LGS) are announced, students in the 1 percent bracket will be able to apply for the school, and that the candidates will pass a special exam in addition to academic success.
Stating that the TÜBİTAK Science High School Special Exam will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 10.00, Aydın gave the following information about the exam:
"Our exam will last 100 minutes and consist of 50 multiple choice questions. 10 of these questions will be in the field of computer science, 10 in mathematics and 30 in the field of science. We aim to measure the competencies of our students in these basic sciences. Applications continue until the evening of July 15. Our exam will be administered simultaneously in 24 different provinces and 25 different centers in order to reach our students all over our country."
Aydın pointed out that the school's campus in Gebze is one of the rare campuses in the world and said, "We are located in TÜBİTAK's Gebze campus, by the sea and in a magnificent atmosphere among greenery. Our school and dormitory buildings are completely completed. Our students are part of a safe and rich social life here, intertwined with nature." he said.
Emphasizing that the boarding facilities of the school provide a great advantage for students coming from different cities, Aydın noted that there are sports and cultural areas on campus where families can safely entrust their children and students can improve themselves in every sense.

Aydın stated that there are modern laboratories within TÜBİTAK Science High School and made the following evaluation:

Stating that his students participated in national and international Olympics, Aydın said that the medals they won and the success they showed in national and international project competitions made them proud.
