Amateur Sailing Certificate Application Training was organized for the first time in Tunceli under the leadership of Munzur Rowing Club, the first rowing club established by women in Türkiye.

An important step has been taken to develop water sports in Tunceli, which have not been utilized sufficiently until today despite the dam lakes and water resources it has. Amateur Sailing Certificate Application Training was held at the Youth and Sports Center Genç Ofis by Munzur Rowing Club, the first rowing club established by women in Türkiye. Within the scope of the applied training organized for the first time in the city, 32 people, consisting of Munzur Nature Sports and Search and Rescue Association (MUDAK) volunteers and club members, were trained. The training aims to popularize water sports and train conscious volunteers in the field of surface safety and search and rescue, while also aiming to use Tunceli's water potential more effectively.

Stating that it is necessary to develop water sports in Tunceli, Munzur Rowing Club President Nesrin Söylemez said, "We are the first rowing club established by women in Türkiye. Today, we are conducting the Amateur Maritime Certificate Application Training here. For the first time, an application training for this document is being held in Tunceli. We have given training to approximately 32 people, consisting of our own members, especially MUDAK (Munzur Nature Sports and Search and Rescue Association). We bring our people together with water. We are surrounded by water. All around us." "We live in a city. We have a very beautiful Uzunçayır Dam Lake, very close to us the Keban Dam Lake in Pertek, and we almost never benefit from these waters. We will do our best to develop water sports in our city," he said.

MUDAK volunteer Nazan Güzel said, "Such a training was opened and I received it because it was necessary. By nature, we have a lot of water and it is very productive. Unfortunately, accidents happen very often. Therefore, if I can support people even a little bit, I received this certificate for surface search and rescue activities." - TUNCELI
