In his message published on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, Özcan Polat, President of the International Investment and Business Association (ULUSDER), stated that July 15 was not only the date when a coup attempt was prevented, but also a historical turning point when the nation claimed its will, independence and state. Polat emphasized that the path to a strong Türkiye passes through national unity, production and development.
Emphasizing that July 15 was an unforgettable epic in which the Turkish nation defended its will, independence and state, Polat stated that the determined stance displayed on the night of July 15, 2016 was written in golden letters in the history of democracy.
President Polat said, "That night, our beloved nation, with its women, men, young and old, came together as one and protected its democracy, state and flag. This strong will demonstrated by our nation was a historical turning point that illuminated the future of the Republic of Turkey. July 15 is not only the day when a coup attempt was eliminated, but also an epic of heroism where national unity and solidarity were shown to the whole world."
Pointing out that national unity and solidarity is Türkiye's greatest strength, Polat stated that the development goals will be implemented with this spirit and said: "The way to achieve the Turkey Century goals is through a strong economy, domestic and national production, investment and employment. As the business world, we will continue to support every investment and every production that will strengthen the economic independence of our country. As ULUSDER, we will continue to support projects that will contribute to the development of our country, especially the industry, technology and defense industry."
At the end of his message, Polat stated that he commemorated all the martyrs, especially the July 15 martyrs, with mercy and gratitude, and the heroic veterans with respect and gratitude, and said, "It is the common responsibility of all of us to protect the trust of our beloved martyrs and to always protect our democracy and national will.
