Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek published a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In his message, Governor Demiryürek stated that the treacherous coup attempt, which targeted the will of the beloved nation, the survival of the state and democracy, was defeated thanks to the unshakable faith of his nation, love of the homeland and devotion to the state.
Emphasizing that the courage, determination and sacrifice shown by the citizens who filled the squares upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the expense of their lives showed the whole world that there is no power above the national will, Demiryürek stated that July 15 was not only the date when a coup attempt was prevented, but also a turning point where unity and solidarity and the love of the country were demonstrated in the strongest way.
"We will continue to protect the peace, security and future of our country with the same faith and determination by uniting around the strength we have received from the past and our common values. Our state will continue to fight with determination against all kinds of threats to our constitutional order, the peace of our nation and the security of our country, within the framework of the principles of the rule of law. With the support of our beloved nation, no initiative that targets the unity and integrity of our country will achieve its purpose. On the anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, "I commemorate all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their country with mercy, gratitude and respect, and wish our heroic veterans a healthy and peaceful life. May God protect our state and nation against all kinds of threats. May our unity, solidarity and brotherhood be eternal."
