Artvin Governor Turan Ergün visited the families of July 15 martyrs, Police Chief Dursun Acar and special operations police officer Erol İnce, living in Yusufeli district.
Within the scope of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day programs, a Mawlid was read for the martyrs at the Cilat Mosque in Küplüce village of Yusufeli district, the father's home of martyr Acar.
Governor Ergün then visited the martyr's father Nebi and his mother Fatma Acar and went to Dursun Acar's grave.
Carnations were left on Acar's grave, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were said.
Ergün visited the martyr's father's house and chatted with his family and relatives for a while, and presented the Quran and the Turkish flag to the martyr's mother.
Ergün later visited Gülşan İnce, the mother of July 15 martyr police officer Erol İnce, who lives in Sancak District, at her home and shared her pain.
During the visit, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made for the martyr.
Governor Ergün was accompanied by District Governor Ahmet Tan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Uğur Başkonak, Provincial Police Chief Murat Güneş, Regional Forestry Director İbrahim Ethem Gürsoy and Provincial Mufti Ertuğran Mehmet Soylu.
