Istanbul Governor Davut Gül met with the students and their parents who were among the top students in Türkiye by getting 500 full points within the scope of the High School Transition System (Lgs). Governor Gül said, "Academic success alone is not enough. Knowledge finds its true meaning when combined with conscience, compassion and a sense of belonging to this country. We want our children to use their minds correctly, strengthen their ties with this land, and not to forget that their greatest guides in this process are their families and teachers."

Within the scope of the 'Children of the Turkey Century' project, which has been carried out by the Governorship of Istanbul for three years, students who receive 500 full points in LGS and continue their high school education in Istanbul are given a success scholarship throughout their education life through the Istanbul Children Foundation. According to the 2026 LGS results, 101 students from Istanbul received 500 full points and ranked among the tops in Türkiye. In addition to Governor Gül, Istanbul Director of National Education Murat Mücahit Yentür, district governors and guests attended the program held in the Istanbul Governorship building. In the program, Governor Gül congratulated the students for their success and took a souvenir photo.

Governor Gül stated that the project was implemented for the fourth time this year and said, "In addition to our students with full scores from Istanbul, we offer success scholarships to all our students with full scores from Anatolia who choose high schools in Istanbul, regardless of the economic situation of their families. We will continue this support throughout our students' high school education."

Stating that 1,370 students studying in high schools in Istanbul with a full score of 500 in LGS in the last three years have benefited from the scholarship program, Gül said that with the completion of the selection process this year, the number of students receiving scholarships is expected to reach approximately 1,700. Stating that transportation support will also be provided to students coming from outside Istanbul, Gül noted that students will be given four flight tickets a year under the sponsorship of AnadoluJet and said, "Our students' arrival to Istanbul, their departure and return to their hometown during the semester break, and their return to their hometown at the end of the academic year will be covered." Emphasizing that the main purpose of the project is not only to support academic success, Gül drew attention to the importance of raising young people with national and spiritual values. Istanbul Director of National Education Murat Mücahit Yentür said, "Under the leadership of our Governor, it is extremely valuable and valuable that this awareness and our friends and students who show great effort and interest in education are appreciated and rewarded. However, we must also underline this. Life is not just about the five options we offer to our children. It is not just about questions. Therefore, this success in a certain academic field cannot be denied, but it is not an indispensable feature that will cover the whole of life. Our most important goal in life is to bring together the mind and the heart, "The most important purpose of education is to raise beautiful and good people who bring together consciences and hearts and who will produce good and good works for humanity in every aspect of their lives," he said.

Çağan Bozkurt, who got full marks in LGS, said, "I prepared for the exam process myself. I studied disciplined and efficient. I did it by following the rules and programs given by my teachers. Apart from that, this process was exciting for me. I mean, I was excited at the beginning of the exam process, even before, until the exam day. It passed like a normal trial exam for me and I took it, a few days later, we checked it at work, when the booklets were given. That means I got full score, I made 500 points. In other words, they should study efficiently rather than being overactive. Also, during the exam, they should study as efficiently as they can. "They should stay calm and keep their motivation high. Because once they lose motivation, no matter how hard they work, it will be of no use. Apart from that, they should really learn how to control stress. I have friends who can do much better in the exam but cannot. Stress control is really important, along with the activity," he said.

Beyhan Bozkurt, the father of Çağan Bozkurt, who got 500 full points in the exam, said, "Çağan followed the advice given during this process. He tried to follow the path we showed him exactly. He listened to the teachers' advice. He tried to maintain discipline as much as he could. There were times when we had small declines for a long period of time, but we got over them quickly. The important thing here was that he remained calm and properly fulfilled the advice and responsibilities given to him by his teachers. Sometimes, when he was in trouble, we also helped him with the suggestions we gave him." "He tried to take it calmly and we think he succeeded. Of course, we are very proud, we are very happy. I hope everyone will be able to experience great pride."

Ece Atat, another student who got full marks in the exam, said, "Although the exam process was really stressful and tiring, I would like to thank my family and school first of all.
