Kilis Governor Ömer Kalaylı and the city protocol visited the event tent prepared within the scope of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day and toured the exhibition.

Making a statement at the event tent, Kilis Governor Ömer Kalaylı said that the struggle of the Turkish nation on the night of July 15 went down in history as a unique epic of democracy.

Governor Kalaylı said, "As a result of the all-out struggle of our beloved nation, who filled the squares with the call of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 15, and showed a unique resistance all over Türkiye by shielding their chests in front of tanks, planes and bullets, the treason attempt was suppressed, the treacherous structure mobilized by dark hands was defeated, and our noble nation wrote a unique epic of democracy on the pages of history with this honorable and dignified stance."

Stating that July 15 is a historical day in which national unity and solidarity were shown to the whole world, Kalaylı said, "July 15 is a historical day in which the indivisible integrity of our country, the perseverance and determination of our nation, and national unity and solidarity are shown to the whole world once again, and an epic that teaches lessons to the societies and states of the world. Our dear nation protected its democracy, state and national will with the courage, foresight and determination it displayed on the night of July 15, and declared its belief in a bright future to the whole world." he said.

Governor Kalaylı said, "July 15 is the date when the handcuffs of captivity, which were intended to be placed on this glorious nation that lived for its faith combined with love of homeland and independence, were shattered once again. It is the registration that these geographies, kneaded with the blood of martyrs and made homeland, cannot be invaded, is the new liberation struggle of our nation, which has lived and will live free, resulting in victory."
