Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak inspected the 15 July Digital Experience Tent established in Rabia Square. Stating that July 15 is the symbol of the nation's will for unity and solidarity, Şıldak invited all Şanlıurfa residents to the commemoration program to be held in Rabia Square on Wednesday, July 15 at 20.30.
Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak visited and inspected the 15 July Digital Experience Tent established in Rabia Square on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day. Governor Şıldak, who visited the sections in the tent, signed his memoirs and wrote down his feelings and thoughts.
Governor Şıldak, who made a statement to the press after his investigations, stated that July 15 was a historical turning point in which the nation showed the will of unity, solidarity and independence to the whole world, and invited all Şanlıurfa residents to the commemoration program to be held in Rabia Square on Wednesday, July 15 at 20.30.
Governor Şıldak stated that July 15 was a historical epic in which treason and heroism took place on the same night, and the nation protected its state and democracy under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and said that since this year is the 10th anniversary, the commemoration programs will be held with much wider participation.
Governor Şıldak said, "Hopefully, we will commemorate our 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day together with the most enthusiasm and widest participation tomorrow in Şanlıurfa. We will celebrate the 10th anniversary of this great epic in an atmosphere where national consciousness is felt most strongly." he said.
Calling on the citizens, Governor Şıldak stated that Rabia Square will host a large meeting that will be a symbol of unity and solidarity and said:
"This year, let's all fill Rabia Square in the largest crowd. The message that will be given here will be that we love our country, our nation and our state, and that we are united. No power can destroy the unity of our nation, divide our state, or give up our determination to protect our democracy and national will."
Governor Şıldak stated that the July 15 Digital Experience Tent, prepared under the coordination of the Presidential Directorate of Communications, aims to convey the spirit of July 15, especially to the younger generations.
Governor Şıldak stated that what happened on the night of July 15 was told with digital content in the tent and invited citizens to visit the tent and said, "Here, we have the opportunity to experience how our nation defended democracy, the heroism that happened that night, and our strong Turkey ideal for the future in a digital environment. We aim to convey the spirit of Çanakkale, the spirit of the National Struggle and the spirit of July 15 to new generations." he said.
Stating that the tent contains the photographs and names of 253 heroes who were martyred in the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, Governor Şıldak reminded that Şanlıurfa also martyred 5 heroic children that night, and said that the families of the martyrs will also be hosted in the commemoration program.
Governor Hasan Şıldak, who emphasized in his statement that July 15 is the symbol of the nation's resurrection and embrace of democracy, concluded his words with the following statements:
"July 15 is the anniversary of our re-existence. Şanlıurfa will take its place in unity and solidarity in Rabia Square on the evening of July 15 and will understand this meaningful day together with our nation in the strongest way. I expect all our citizens to come to Rabia Square on Wednesday, July 15 at 20.30, and I offer my love and respect."
