Kırklareli Governor Uğur Turan met with the families of martyrs and veterans on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In his speech at the program held at the Provincial Police Department Social Facilities, Governor Turan stated that he was honored to share the same table with the precious relics of the martyrs and heroic veterans who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country.
Emphasizing that the families of martyrs and veterans are the most exceptional representatives of patience, sacrifice, dignity and love of the country, Turan said:
"Exactly 10 years ago, with the historic call of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, inviting our nation to the squares, our beloved nation became one heart and defended its homeland, flag, state, democracy and national will. The struggle on the night of July 15 was a re-manifestation of the spirit of independence extending from Çanakkale to the War of Independence, and our dear martyrs and heroic veterans became our nation's common cause with the epic they wrote at the expense of their lives." "They have taken their eternal place in his memory."
Pointing out that it is the common responsibility of the nation as well as the state to protect the relics of martyrs and veterans, Turan said that the Republic of Türkiye will be with them today and tomorrow, as it was yesterday.
Turan completed his speech by remembering the founder of the Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and all the martyrs with mercy, gratitude and gratitude, and wishing the veterans a healthy and peaceful life.
After the speech, a prayer was made by Provincial Mufti Yusuf Eviş.
