49-year-old Nihat Yaşa lost his life after falling into the stream in Van's Bahçesaray district.
Yaşa, who was taking a stroll by the water source feeding the Müküs Stream, lost his balance and fell into the water.
Upon notice, health, fire brigade and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.
With the support of citizens, the teams pulled Yaşa's body from the water, 4 kilometers away from where he fell.
The body was brought to Bahçesaray State Hospital morgue for autopsy.
