Students will meet with traditional games with the "Summer Enthusiasm Project" in Van - Last Minute News

In Van, the "Summer Enthusiasm Project", implemented in cooperation with the İpekyolu District Governorate and the District Directorate of National Education, has started.

Within the scope of the project, more than 1000 students in the 6-13 age group will spend their summer vacation with courses and events organized in schools.

In the project, which includes traditional street games, intelligence games and drama training, students will both have fun and contribute to their social and personal development.

The opening program of the project, in which 40 teachers worked and covered four different branches, was held at Vankulu Secondary School.

Speaking at the program, İpekyolu District Director of National Education Harun Yeşilova stated that they aim to help children spend their summer holidays productively and happily with the project.

Stating that they organized the project for the second time this year, Yeşilova said:

"Our only goal is for our students to be happy. The games you play today and the games we played in our childhood are very different from each other. We want to take you back in time and introduce you to the games your fathers and grandfathers played. You will make new friends and good friends here."

Public Education Center Director Arif Yılmaz also pointed out the importance of sports and arts in the development of children and said, "We cannot talk about development where there are no sports and arts. Our aim is for our children to have a pleasant time with fun activities during the summer and to contribute to their personal development. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the project." he said.

Project Coordinator Volkan Turan stated that the project, which started in four schools last year, has spread to 10 schools this year, and said, "We hope that it will continue to expand in the coming years. Our entire focus is on our students. Our children will be introduced to the traditional games played by their fathers and will experience an important part of our culture. We aim for them to have the best summer vacation. I wish our project to be beneficial." he said.
