Karakucak wrestling competitions were held in Yozgat on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
The competitions, organized by the Yozgat Governorship, the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and the Turkish Traditional Wrestling Federation, at the Republic Square, started after a moment of silence and the National Anthem.
Speaking after the students' folklore show, Youth and Sports Provincial Director Şahin Hopur said that the treacherous FETO coup attempt was heroically eliminated by the dear nation full of faith.
Hopur stated that they organized this event to bring the spirit of the epic resistance to the squares and to commemorate the martyrs and veterans, and said, "On this occasion, we commemorate all our beloved martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country, and our heroic veterans with gratitude and gratitude. Later, 130 athletes wrestled on the mat laid in Republic Square.
Governor Mehmet Ali Özkan and citizens attended the event, where Aşık Sefai poetry recital was also held.
