While the harvest continues at full speed in the garden, where there are 10 thousand 832 cherry trees on an area of ​​164 decares, approximately 10 tons of cherries are collected daily. It was stated that the cherries sent to large buyers in the domestic market were also exported to countries such as Japan, Russia, Georgia and the Netherlands.

Arslan Özcan, the manager of the garden, said that the R&D activity they carried out in Bahadın town has reached a significant production capacity today. Özcan said, "This is a cherry orchard established in Gümüşkavak District, consisting of 10 thousand 832 saplings. We produce different varieties, including Regina, Kordia, Ziraat 900 and Sweetheart. The reason for our activity with different varieties is to extend the harvest time. If there was only one variety, we would have to complete the harvest in 10-15 days. However, as a result of our R&D activities, we can extend the harvest time between 14 and 21 days with different varieties."

"We expect a harvest of over approximately 150-160 tons"

Reminding that they could not get products due to agricultural frost last year, Özcan stated that they expect high yields this season and said, "Last year, due to the frost on April 11, products could not be purchased throughout the country, including us. The year before that, we obtained 57 tons of product and sent it to the domestic market in the Netherlands. This year is our main harvest year. We expect a harvest of approximately 150-160 tons. We collect 10 tons of cherries daily. Our buyers are big traders in the domestic market. These products are "We know that they are sent to countries such as Japan, Russia and Georgia. Our cherries are between 28-30 millimeters in diameter. Our harvest started at the end of June and will continue until mid-August," he said.
