Teams from the Balıkesir Provincial Gendarmerie Command launched an operation targeting a suspect determined to be supplying drugs to young people in the city center. During the operation, which also utilized a narcotics detection dog, 78,824 drug pills hidden in a building under construction were seized. A search of the suspect's residence uncovered approximately 1 million lira in cash, believed to have been obtained from drug sales, along with a money counting machine.
During the operation, it was learned that the suspect threw the drug pills and money from his home's window and balcony in an attempt to evade capture.
