AK Party Deputy Chairman Kürşad Zorlu visited the relatives of veterans and martyrs in Ankara on the anniversary of July 15.
AK Party Deputy Chairman, Head of Relations with Turkish States and Ankara Deputy Kürşad Zorlu visited July 15 veteran Hulusi Şahin and martyr relative Esra Gençer in Ankara's Yenimahalle district on the anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt. In his statement after his visit, Zorlu stated that July 15 was a historical epic written by the will of the Turkish nation, and that they commemorated the martyrs with mercy and the veterans with gratitude. Zorlu stated that July 15 was one of the most important resistances of the Turkish nation in history and said, "On July 15, our nation wrote an epic and went down in history with its struggle to resist. This meaningful day was an important junction of the opposition stance put forward by that line of history, considering thousands of years of ancient Turkish history."
"It has been a great example of struggle for the Turkish world as well."
Stating that the struggle was of great importance not only for Turkey but also for the entire Turkish world, Zorlu said, "The struggle that took place that day was a great example of struggle not only for Turkey and its 86 million people, but also for the greater Turkish world. With the struggle that has continued until today under the leadership of our President, we continue our struggle against the activities of this treacherous structure not only in Türkiye but also in wide geographies."
Commemorating the martyrs and veterans of the treacherous coup attempt, Zorlu said, "The blessed struggle of our 253 martyrs and over 2,700 veterans has been a struggle that went down in history with the will they displayed against tutelage and the faith they showed by standing in front of the tanks. On this occasion, I commemorate our martyrs with mercy and our veterans with gratitude. May the unity of our nation be eternal." - ANKARA
