Police teams, suspecting the rider, had him blow into an alcoholmeter. Checks revealed that the rider had an alcohol level of 3.59 per mille, approximately 20 times over the legal limit.

Subsequently, the rider, who was invited to the traffic patrol car to complete his procedures, wanted to take his bicycle. The rider, not allowed to ride the bicycle due to his intoxication, turned to the journalist and said, 'I'll sell it for two thousand lira.' To the journalist's question, 'Are you selling it to me, brother?', he replied, 'It doesn't matter, I'll sell it to you. Take a ride. Will you ride it? Ride it and see what a bicycle it is.' Furthermore, during the procedures, the rider made a gesture to the traffic police by playing a song on his phone, and then insisted to the journalist, 'Film my Mercedes too.' The rider, who had his bicycle recorded, then thanked the journalist with a laugh.
