On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the TRT-produced movie "Last Sefer" met with the audience.
Under the auspices of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia and in cooperation with the Communications Consultancy of the Embassy, Nicosia Yunus Emre Institute (YEE), Turkish Maarif Foundation and TRT's TRNC representations, the movie "Last Sefer" was presented to the audience.
Türkiye's Nicosia Ambassador Ali Murat Başçeri and TRNC officials, as well as the family of Murat İnci, who was martyred in Ankara during the coup attempt, attended the event held in Nicosia YEE on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In his speech here, Ambassador Başçeri stated that the coup attempt organized by the terrorist organization FETO/PDY on July 15, 2016 was one of the turning points for the Republic of Türkiye.
Başçeri noted that they will organize various programs for democracy and national will in the TRNC on the 10th anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, and said, "Every July 15, our hearts have been aching since 2016. But we understand better every day, every moment, how meaningful and valuable the struggle of our nation is." he said.
Başçeri said that the attack on the republic, democracy and national will on July 15 was eliminated by the leadership of the martyrs who saw death and walked to their death, the patriots within the state and the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and emphasized that the various scenarios envisaged for Türkiye on July 15, 2016 were thrown into the dustbin of history.
