On the 10th anniversary of July 15, citizens who came to Niğde from different provinces of Türkiye visited the grave of martyr Ömer Halisdemir and prayed.

Visitors praying at the grave of martyr Ömer Halisdemir, who changed the course of the coup with his heroism in the treacherous coup attempt and wrote his name in golden letters in Turkish history, expressed their feelings of gratitude.

Abdulvahit Yılmaz, who comes from Yozgat's Akdağmadeni district, stated that they always kept the martyr Halisdemir alive in their prayers and said, "I came to Niğde for the first time to visit the grave. It makes us all proud that such a son left these lands. We get emotional when we think about it. We pray for Ömer Halisdemir and all our martyrs not only today, but always."

Emirhan Doygun, who comes from Tekirdağ, stated that he could not fully remember the night of July 15 because he was a young age, but learned about it later by researching, and said, "We commemorate all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their country with respect and gratitude. We are proud of Ömer Halisdemir."

Yıldız Doygun, one of the visitors, expressed their great sadness about what happened and said, "We are very sorry for what happened that day. I wish it had never happened. But we are proud of Ömer Halisdemir. He became a martyr for us. We offer our prayers. From here on, we will go to pray for his mother."
