In Muğla's Bodrum district, the illegal walls and iron railings that prevented citizens from accessing the park area and the beach were demolished by municipal teams.

According to the statement made by Bodrum Municipality, demolition activities for illegal buildings, whose legal processes have been completed throughout the district, continue.

The Department of Technical Works Demolition Chief's Office teams removed the unauthorized iron railings and walls located on a site in Akyarlar District Karaincir location, which were determined to prevent citizens from accessing the public park area and the shore.

A similar activity was carried out in Gümüşlük Mahallesi Koyunbaba location. Illegal walls and occupations on public areas were demolished by municipal teams and the area was reopened to public use. After the demolition, the excavation in the area was cleared and landscaping was done.

The teams, which demolished 53 illegal buildings by the end of June within the scope of zoning and slum laws, increased the number of illegal buildings demolished this year to 64 with the activities in July.

In addition, within the scope of the Law on the Transformation of Areas Under Disaster Risk, the demolition of two buildings that were determined to be risky buildings in the Kadıkalesi location was completed, while it was reported that the demolition process of 4 illegal buildings, whose legal processes have been completed, continues.
