A 51-year-old health technician, who went to the mountainous area to collect 'St. John's wort' in Tavşanlı district of Kütahya, died by falling from the rocks.
The incident took place in the Mor Kayalık area in the rural Ovacık District of Tavşanlı district. According to the information received, Tavşanlı Assoc. Dr. 51-year-old İsmail Çakır, who works as a medical technician at Mustafa Kalemli State Hospital, left his home to collect St. John's wort. Relatives who did not hear from Çakır, who did not return home until the evening hours, reported the situation to the gendarmerie.
Found motionless at the bottom of the rocks
Upon notice, gendarmerie, health and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the region. The search activities, supported by the villagers, continued uninterrupted throughout the night in the rugged and steep terrain. During the activities intensified with the first light of the morning, the teams found İsmail Çakır motionless at the bottom of the rocks in the Mor Kayalık area. Upon check-up by medical teams, it was determined that Çakır had died. Following the investigations carried out by the public prosecutor and crime scene investigation teams in the region, Çakır's body was taken to Tavşanlı Assoc. Prof., where he worked, for an autopsy. Dr. He was taken to the morgue of Mustafa Kalemli State Hospital.
