Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan will visit Ukraine and meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sibiha.
According to information received from Ministry sources, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan will visit Ukraine on July 15-16. Within the scope of the visit, Minister Fidan is planned to be received by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and to hold meetings with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sibiha, as well as Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rüstem Umerov, National Leader of the Crimean Tatars and Ukrainian Deputy Mustafa Abdülcemil Kırımoğlu, and President of the Crimean Tatar National Assembly Refat Chubarov.
During his meetings, Foreign Minister Fidan is expected to exchange views on joint steps that can be taken to further develop Turkey-Ukraine relations in all areas, especially economy, energy and defense, and to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Minister Fidan also said; It is expected that Türkiye will once again confirm its support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, mentioning the assistance provided to Ukraine in every field and platform, and draw attention to the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts to ensure a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine. Minister Fidan, who is expected to draw attention to the security in the Black Sea, is also expected to state that Turkish companies can make significant contributions to the reconstruction of Ukraine with their current investments and projects undertaken in Ukraine, and to reiterate Türkiye's position on the illegal annexation of Crimea.
