BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev in China's capital Beijing.
Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CCP) Central Committee, stated in Monday's meeting that the two presidents will hold comprehensive strategic talks during the upcoming visit of Kazakh President Kassym Jomert Tokayev to China to attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-Level Meeting on Global Artificial Intelligence Governance, and that this will give new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
Wang expressed that they are ready to work with Kazakhstan to implement the important agreements reached by the two presidents, maintain the friendship that has lasted for generations, increase the welfare of the people, reinforce mutual strategic trust, and jointly advance development and revival.
Noting that they resolutely support Kazakhstan to follow a successful development path that is appropriate to its national conditions and receives the support of its people, Wang expressed that they are willing to promote all-round practical cooperation with Kazakhstan and continuously enrich the content of the China-Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership.
Stating that they welcome Kazakhstan's participation in the International Mediation Organization and appreciate the constructive role played by the country in multilateral platforms, Wang said that they are ready to act together with Kazakhstan to protect international equality and justice.
Kosherbayev, on the other hand, conveyed his congratulations on the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CCP and said that the deep-rooted friendship and close contacts between the two presidents are the greatest assurance of the high level of bilateral relations.
Stating that Kazakhstan follows an independent foreign policy and always gives priority to cooperation with China, Kosherbayev stated that the mutual trust and friendship between the two countries will not be under the influence of third parties.
Kosherbayev stated that Kazakhstan is strictly committed to the One China principle and resolutely supports China to protect its core interests, and emphasized that they are ready to deepen cooperation in various fields and cooperate closely with China on international and regional issues.
After the negotiations, Kosherbayev signed on behalf of the Kazakhstan government to participate in the International Mediation Organization Convention.
