The joint military exercise of the Russian and Chinese navies called "Maritime Interaction-2026" in the Yellow Sea has ended.
A statement on the subject was made by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Accordingly, the joint military exercise named "Maritime Interaction-2026", which was launched by the navies of the two countries in the Yellow Sea on July 6, has ended.
Rear Admiral Sergey Sinko from the Russian side and Rear Admiral Qiu Wensheng from the Chinese side attended the ceremony held in Qingdao city in eastern China to mark the end of the exercise.
In his statement here, Sinko said that the experience gained during the exercise will be used in the maritime activities of Russia and China and will contribute to the relations of the two countries.
The "Varyag" cruiser, the "Rezkiy" frigate, the "Ufa" submarine and the rescue ship "Igor Belusov" of Russia's Pacific Fleet participated in the exercise.
On the Chinese side, destroyers "Kayfeng" and "Anshan", frigate "Vuhu", supply ship "Kıkışili" and submarine rescue ship "Yangçinghu" took part in the exercise.
After the exercise, the ships of the two countries started a joint patrol in the waters of the Asia-Pacific region.
The "Maritime Interaction-2026" exercise of the Russian and Chinese navies started on July 6.
The exercise in question has been held in various regions since 2012.
