Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy awarded the Second Degree Order of Merit to Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan.
In the statement made by the Ukrainian authorities, "By the decision of the President of Ukraine, the Second Degree Order of Merit of Ukraine has been awarded to Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, for his outstanding personal contributions to the strengthening of interstate cooperation and bilateral relations." It was said.
Ukraine's Order of Merit of the Second Degree is awarded to Ukrainian citizens and representatives of foreign states who have rendered outstanding services to the country.
The medal is awarded for significant contributions in fields such as state administration and public service, diplomacy and international relations, science and education, culture and art, and economy and industry.
