Ümit Çoban, who was martyred in front of the Presidential Complex during the July 15 coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), was commemorated with a program held at his grave in Gümüşhacıköy district of Amasya.
In the program held at Gümüşhacıköy Martyrdom within the scope of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made.
Gümüşhacıköy District Governor Büşra Güneş, Mayor Zehra Özyol, District Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant Mustafa Karaca, District Police Chief Cennet Şahin left carnations on the grave of martyr Çoban.
District Governor Güneş stated that July 15 was a historical resistance in which the nation defended its independence, democracy and national will, and commemorated the martyrs who sacrificed their lives that night with mercy and gratitude and the veterans with gratitude.
Güneş noted that preserving unity and solidarity, protecting national and spiritual values, and protecting the legacy of the martyrs are the most important responsibilities.
