On the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day in Antalya, Police Officer Muhammet Oğuz Kılınç, who was shot and martyred in the fight against the coup plotters at the Ankara Police Department, was commemorated with prayers at his grave in his hometown Antalya.
Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin and his wife Ebru Şahin, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Ahmet Kavukcu, Provincial Police Chief Sabit Akın Zaimoğlu, provincial representatives of political parties, representatives of associations and foundations, relatives of the martyrs and citizens attended the commemoration program held at Uncalı Martyrdom.
Within the scope of the program, firstly, the graves of July 15 martyr Police Officer Muhammet Oğuz Kılınç and all the martyrs were visited. After the recitation of the Quran, prayers were made for the martyrs, while protocol members and relatives of the martyrs left carnations on the graves.
During the commemoration program, the speech of the martyr's mother, Meltem Kılıç, with Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin witnessed emotional moments. Kılıç said, "The martyrs of this country deserve all the flowers. They deserve the most beautiful flowers in this world. They are our honor, our pride. We all wanted to be martyrs, but martyrdom was only granted to the chosen ones."
The aunts of the martyr said, "We are sorry. Thank you for the homeland. I cannot say much. We are in our tenth year. Our pride, our honor, our son, our everything. I wish mercy to all the martyrs and our own martyr."
Police Officer Muhammet Oğuz Kılınç, who served in the fight against the coup plotters at the Ankara Police Department, where he was on temporary duty during the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, was shot in the head and martyred during the conflict. After the ceremony, Martyr Kılınç's body was buried in Uncalı Martyrdom in his hometown, Antalya. - ANTALYA
