With the successful operation performed at Hakkari State Hospital Brain and Nerve Surgery Clinic, a 72-year-old patient regained his health by getting rid of the bubble (aneurysm) in his brain vessel.

According to the statement made by the Provincial Health Directorate, in the examinations performed on a 72-year-old male patient who applied to the hospital with complaints of headache and dizziness, an aneurysm was detected in the branching region of the right middle cerebral artery, one of the main vessels feeding the brain.

In the statement, it was stated that brain aneurysms can progress for a long time without symptoms, but if they rupture, they can lead to life-threatening brain hemorrhage.

In the statement, it was stated that the decision for surgical intervention was made after evaluating the patient's condition, and the following information about the operation process was included:

"During the surgery, a small bone window was opened in the patient's skull using a microsurgical method and the aneurysm was reached. The vascular bubble was successfully removed from the circulation by the clipping method. Post-operative angiographic controls showed that the aneurysm was completely closed. The patient did not experience any loss of strength or sensation. Our patient, whose general condition was good, was discharged on the second day of the surgery."

In the statement, it was emphasized that advanced cerebrovascular surgery operations can be performed successfully in Hakkari, and it was stated that it is of great importance for the people of the region to receive safe and qualified healthcare services in their own cities, especially without having to go out of the province for treatments in the field of neurosurgery.
