Racing against time, medical teams successfully delivered the birth in the ambulance and ensured the safety of the mother and baby. According to the information obtained, the pregnant woman, whose labor pains started around 04:00 in the morning, applied to Güçlükonak State Hospital Emergency Service. After the initial evaluations, it was decided to refer the mother to Cizre State Hospital for further examination and birth process. However, while the ambulance was heading towards Cizre, the birth started as the labor pains became more frequent. Thereupon, the medical personnel working in the ambulance took action quickly. Midwife Sözdar Yaman and the paramedic staff performed the birth safely in the ambulance, thanks to their professional interventions.
As a result of the successful intervention, the baby was born healthy and his first checks were made in the ambulance. It was learned that the mother and the baby were in good health and were later taken to the hospital for necessary checks and follow-up.
