A 12-year-old boy who went into a stream to cool off in Manisa's Salihli district drowned and died.
According to the information received, Abdullah Yıldırım (12) and his friends entered the stream in Yılmaz Mahallesi to cool off. Abdullah Yıldırım, who swam in the stream for a while, disappeared. Unable to find Yıldırım, his friends went to the workers working at the high-speed train construction site and asked for help. After the employees informed the police, health, police and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. After Abdullah Yıldırım's clothes were found on the edge of the stream, the water of the stream was drained and the water level was lowered, and a search and rescue operation was initiated by the fire brigade. As a result of the operation, which lasted about half an hour, the lifeless body of Abdullah Yıldırım was found. The child's body was taken to the morgue of Salihli State Hospital. The prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the incident. - MANISA
