A 91-year-old Alzheimer's patient, who was wanted missing in Manisa's Salihli district, was found dead in his car that flew into the stream.
Oral Yalçın (91), who lives in Dombaylı District, left home yesterday evening with her car with license plate 45 LK 662 to buy fly spray.
After his wife Göksel Yalçın (87), who had not heard from him, filed a missing complaint with the gendarmerie, a search operation was carried out in the region throughout the night by Gendarmerie Search and Rescue, AFAD and UMKE teams.
As a result of the investigation, the car used by Yalçın was found to have overturned into the stream on the road to Taytan and Bezirganlı neighborhoods.
During the check made by the medical teams, it was determined that Yalçın, who was stuck in the car, lost his life.
Yalçın's body was taken to the morgue of Salihli State Hospital after the examination at the scene.
It is believed that Oral Yalçın was unable to take a sharp turn in the car he was driving and fell into the stream.
