IETT bus traveling in Ataşehir caught fire - News
The fire broke out around 13.30 on an IETT bus traveling on Yedpa Boulevard in Kayışdağı District. According to the information obtained, for an unknown reason, it broke out in the engine compartment of an IETT bus with plate number 34 TP 3628, operating on the 10A Kadıköy Ferhatpaşa line. The bus driver noticed the smoke coming from the engine compartment, stopped the vehicle and evacuated the passengers. Upon notice, fire brigade and police teams were dispatched to the scene. While the police closed the street to traffic due to the flames, fire brigades intervened in the flames. The flames on the bus were extinguished after about half an hour of fire crews' work. After the burning bus was removed with the help of a tow truck that arrived at the scene, traffic flow returned to normal. Police teams started an investigation into the fire.
